One of the many important things for your wedding day is the guest list. It can be a very stressful time for you and your partner. Other people's input on who should attend and friendship situations can cause disagreements but in the end you can follow the wedding invite etiquette and try to keep it simple.

Wedding invite etiquette
This is the easiest way to work out who to invite. The object is list guests and work backwards eliminating to suit you both and budget requirements.
  • You can't live without (close family members, best friends)
  • You stay in touch with (aunts, uncles, grandparents cousins, school/online friends)
  • You have known ages (co-workers, family friends, neighbours)
  • You have lost contact with (distant cousins, school/online friends, ex co-workers)

  • Get pen and paper out
  • Don't feel pressured to invites friends of friends
  • Invite some to the ceremony only
  • Inviting or not inviting children is simply your choice
  • Don't try to match make singles for the night
  • If a guest declines because they dislike another guest, don't take it to heart
